Following the outbreak of Covid in 2020, Muka Muodozie started PayGO and led the team as a response to the gaps seen while working in the payment industry, particularly how banks were struggling to provide inclusive finance for the vulnerable segments of the population (mostly women and youths).

The long queues at ATMs occasioned by machines that had run out of cash was another issue they felt compelled to tackle.

The vision of PayGO is to bridge this gap by recruiting agents in all communities and empowering them with a platform that allows customers withdraw cash, send money and pay bills without ever having to visit a physical bank.

However, the cardinal objective in our journey into agent banking and Digital Financial Services deepen financial Inclusion in the remote communities and ensuring sustainable inclusive finance by providing the unbanked populations in local communities the platform for customer onboarding to banks through PayGO agents.
